This was the first year that Arianna was actually in the United States for the Fourth of July. We had a full day planned including a visit to a petting zoo at a farm just south of Kissimmee and a Fourth of July celebration in St. Cloud.
The petting zoo was at a place called Green Meadows Farm and it was an incredible experience for Arianna. She got to go on her first hay ride, ride a pony, milk a cow, hold a baby chick, pet some rabbits and interact with several different types of large animals from zebu's to goats and sheep and even a zorse (zebra/horse mix). It was really a hidden gem of a park in the Orlando area and one that we will return to with her in the future when we go back to Central Florida.
After a full morning at the farm we had a rest full couple of hours at the hotel and then headed down to St. Cloud for their Fourth of July party. The celebration was held down on their lake front and after some hunting for exactly where that might be off the highway we made our way to the party. The most enduring memory of our St. Cloud experience will probably be the twenty or so people who approached us with petitions asking if we were residents of Osceola County. We finally just had a stock answer that we gave before they even started talking that sorry we didn't live in the US. Arianna of course wanted to pet all the dogs that people had brought to the celebration and even met one of the horse police.
